Creake Abbey – Just a 5-minute drive away is Creake Abbey. Home to a Café, a fully stocked Food Hall, independent shops and services plus an award-winning farmers’ market together with the ruins of an Augustinian abbey founded in 1206. Creake Abbey, farmers’ market, shops and events.

Pensthorpe Nature Reserve – A perfect day out for the whole family. A 10-minute drive away Pensthorpe Natural Park is a 700-acre park packed full of wildlife and fun family activities, plus a former home of BBC Springwatch. Pensthorpe Natural Park

Walsingham Abbey Grounds & Museum– A 15-minute drive away, the grounds of Walsingham Abbey are famous for the spectacular ruins of the original mediaeval shrine, the Priory of Our Lady of Walsingham, a world-renowned place of pilgrimage. Holkham Hall & Woodland Play Area – A 25,000-acre estate with plenty for the whole family to enjoy and explore. Take a trip to Holkham beach whilst you are here. Takes about 20 minutes to get there by car. For more information visit the website Holkham Hall & Estate

Norfolk Lavender – Well worth combining this trip with Sandringham Estate. Great for fans of Lavender products! Founded in 1932 this is England’s premier Lavender Farm and has 100 acres of Lavender under cultivation. You can buy all their products in the shop on site.

Castle Acre Priory – A 30-minute drive away and well worth the visit. Castle Acre Priory can be a great trip out with kids, with an evocative fortress to explore. Climb the spiral staircase up to the old lodgings (carefully!) and get some smashing views, a great backdrop for a family photo. This important Norfolk visitor attraction is one of the largest and best-preserved monastic sites in England dating back to 1090. You can also download the audio tour prior to your visit. The Poppy Line – Take a step back into history on the North Norfolk steam train. The train runs on a 5-mile track between Holt and Sheringham with spectacular views out to the coast. Why not buy a day ticket and spend half a day in Holt exploring the Georgian Town and the afternoon in the traditional seaside town of Sheringham. The Muckleburgh Military Collection – The Muckleburgh Collection is a military museum sited on a former military camp at Weybourne, on the North Norfolk coast. Thursford Collection – known for the scale of its collection of steam engines, organs and fairground attractions, and its annual Christmas spectacular show, which draws over 100,000 people to the Norfolk countryside. You can even have a go on the vintage merry go round! Thursford Collection

Snettisham Park – Perfect for animal lovers. A 329-acre working farm and visitor attraction with a spectacular herd of Red deer. You can take a deer safari, bottle feed lambs plus much more. Takes 20 minutes by car. Snettisham Park
